With very high factory clockspeeds, headroom for even more, excellent cooling capacity, low power draw, and nearly silent operation, this card has massive appeal. That’s because when the GPU is running at less than 65C it’s more than happy to operate with the EVGA ACX 2.0+ cooling working in passive mode alone – that means no spinning fans, and no noise. ...the redesigned ACX 2.0+ cooler, along with a custom PCB design, 6+2 power design and 8-pin power connector... all adds up to a very good overclocking platform. ...we were able to increase the clock and the GTX 960 SuperSC was able to hit speeds of 1529MHz.


The EVGA GeForce GTX 960 SSC is the perfect choice for gamers who are looking to upgrade their card for something that’s more affordable. I’m very impressed by its performance in even some of the most demanding games. I’m also happy to be able to take advantage of DSR on games that aren’t too dated. This card can definitely handle a lot!


Overall, EVGA has the best cooling on a GTX 960 we've used to date, with its so-far-very-impressive ACX 2.0+ cooling.
