"If you currently game on an older generation video card, you will do yourself a big favor by upgrading. The move to a EVGA GTX 1050 Ti SC will give you better visuals on the DX11 and DX12 pathways and they are both faster than the RX 460 in the same price range"

EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 SC GAMING ACX 3.0 - Back to top
"It’s really hard to find negatives with this card as it topped all of our performance charts when it mattered, was at the bottom of the chart for noise levels and right in the middle for power consumption. "
"In our early testing, the EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Superclocked was practically silent – even under load (the fan had a very faint, audible whir when spun up), and temperatures were a non-issue. Under load, the GPU temperature hovered in the high 70’C – 80’C range, a few degrees shy of the default 83’C temperature target."
"...I can't even hear the card because the fans are not running very quickly at all temperatures hit a max of 78...and our fan speed never we above 44%, so if you run this card with a custom fan profile, set the fan at 60% and you can hardly hear it, and our temps are at 66c in Doom maxed out at 4k."
"EVGA has installed their epic-looking ACX 3.0 heatsink onto this card and the results really do speak for themselves. It is able to maintain a temperature of just 75°C despite the Superclocked’s increased clock speeds, which is significantly better than what the reference card could lay claim to."
"Es una tarjeta rápida y con un comportamiento sonoro excelente. Tiene lo que para mí es absolutamente básico en una buena tarjeta moderna, que es la posibilidad de dejar los ventiladores completamente parados cuando tiene poco consumo, y su comportamiento sonoro en carga es realmente bueno. Mucho mejor que lo que tendremos o conseguiremos con el modelo de referencia de Nvidia."
"We dig the large badge and how the shroud wraps around the card. It’s got a significant factory overclock, some fun goodies in its accessory bundle, is highly tunable, and its price point is competitive."
EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW HYBRID GAMING - Back to top
"$730 makes EVGA's FTW Hybrid $20 more affordable than the Sea Hawk and Hydro GFX, it uses a better board, and has more OC potential."
"It’s definitely going to give you a hell of a gaming experience with the amount of FPS the card can render."
EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW GAMING ACX 3.0 - Back to top
"The ACX 3.0 cooler here is very efficient and keeps the card completely quiet and temp maxxing out at 75c at load, which is fantastic to see with the card boosting to 1936MHz on its own."
"The EVGA GTX 1080 FTW is fast graphics card, and our conclusion is short. Go for it if you can afford it, with this horse you can win any race."
"We increased the core speed to +105MHz and memory to +520MHz. The end result was a consistent boost speed of 2,062MHz across a trio of benchmarks. Showing how similar overclocking performance is amongst GTX 1080s, especially using our methodology of not increasing the voltage, the EVGA took top spot..."
Golden Bear Award
"The EVGA GTX 1080 FTW Gaming ACX 3.0 is highly over engineered, heavy overkill, and Geekalicious."
"Overall though this is a feature packed card that checks all the boxes for what an aftermarket card should be"
"What you do get is a respectable factory core overclock, a well made and good looking card, and a premium cooling solution that makes good use of its slightly boosted size to remain very quiet in all situations. The extra power circuitry credentials may appeal to some as well, and the RGB lighting and exclusive features in Precision XOC are neat too. Ultimately, the GTX 1080 FTW makes a compelling case for you to opt for it instead of the similarly priced Founders Edition"
"All overclocks were achieved using EVGA Precision XOC which I feel is one of the best laid out and through overclocking tools in the industry. It is laid out very well and easy to use, all its functions can be found in the GUI without guessing what tab to click to get you where you want to be, OSD always works, fan options actually set the correct fan curves and voltage regulation is simple and undaunted. Compared to other OC tools even with other manufacturers cards for personal use I have always found myself reverting back to Precision X. ACX 3.0 Cooling with RGB LED is one of the most efficient cooling systems on the market and the RGB will make your case as happy as a pig in … (well you know). The EVGA 1080 FTW comes with one of the highest factory overclocked GPUs in its price point. At this time no other single GPU on the market can outperform the GTX 1080."
"All things considered, EVGA has built a very nice card around the 1080 with an effective cooler and some extra value features above what you get with the Founder's Edition"
Babel Tech Reviews
"We have no trouble giving a big recommendation to the EVGA GTX 1080 FTW ACX 3.0. At $679 it looks great, runs cool and is very quiet, and its out of the box performance is higher than the Founders Edition of the GTX 1080 which costs $20 more."
"In conclusion the FTW Edition is a beast of a card, it's well made, aesthetically pleasing, extremely quiet and comes with the RGB LED feature..."
"EVGA's new GeForce GTX 1080 FTW GAMING ACX 3.0 is one of the best-looking GP104-powered cards on the market right now, with some stellar performance and silent cooling."
EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FOUNDER'S EDITION - Back to top
"Try as I might, I cannot find a fault with the GTX 1080 Founders Edition. It runs quiet. It overclocks good. It is the fastest enthusiast video card on the planet right now."

"Overclocking performance was better than expected. I used the familiar EVGA PrecisionX to overclock this video card and was able to get the GTX 1080 Classified it to run at 2100Mhz core and 5500Mhz memory with a +110Mhz gain over the base clock."

Top Honors and Editors Choice
"It’s a great card and I think it is an improvement in every way over the Founders Edition 1070 that is priced at the same price point. I wouldn’t say that about any of the other GTX 1070’s as I normally feel like the Founders Editions do typically stand out in quality even though their cooling and overall performance isn’t as good. The EVGA cards this generation seem to be the cards to beat!"
"The force is strong with the SC Gaming edition as it offer really nice aesthetics and runs totally silent whilst keeping that GPU nicely chilled at the 70 Degrees C marker."
"if you compare the EVGA GTX 1070 SC to the Founders Edition, it's definitely the better deal. You will save 10 bucks and gain amazing noise and temperature levels and no thermal throttling."
"Speaking of the fan noise from the ACX 3.0 cooler on the 1070 the noise level during gaming was completely muffled by a case and I did not notice an increase in system noise under normal loads. The temperatures of the 1070 also remained well within limits not exceeding 72 degrees when letting the card automatically manager temperatures. I did test the card at 100% fan speed as I always like to in order to gauge how loud a cooler is. In this instance the noise level was still at a comfortable level."
"I personally feel it's worth waiting for a GTX 1070. The GTX 1070 consumes less power and includes more graphics memory than previous generation gaming cards (though the Titan X does offer 12GB). It's likely the GTX 1070 will outperform last generation cards in newer games as those arrive on the scene. So unless you're in dire need of a new graphics card, hold onto your wallet and wait for GTX 1070 availability to loosen up."
Performance / High End
"With the GeForce 1070 SuperClocked edition, EVGA has proven that it is able to create one of the best looking cards on the market, by incorporating the efficient and quiet ACX 3.0 cooling system which also stands out thanks to the LED lighting system. Until the card is reaching about 53 degrees Celsius, the fans will stay completely off in order to provide absolute silence while working in a 2D environment; also, being a SuperClocked variant means that the card has been tweaked from the factory with higher clocks than stock Nvidia cards and also features quite a big overclocking headroom as we have seen from our tests."
"I was able to achieve 2169MHz stable at stock voltage, which pushed it well beyond the TITANX at a much lower price point"
"The EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 Superclocked is an impressive card. Not only does it have a better cooler and has a higher clock than the Founders Edition, the noise levels are very impressive even when we compare it to other custom cards. Under load it only produces 33 dB(A), making it one of the quietest cards of this caliber that we have ever tested. At the same time the cooling efficiency is excellent as well"

Golden Bear Award
"The EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 FTW GAMING ACX 3.0 is a 10 + 2 phase power, dual BIOS, game-eating monster that belongs in the GPU Hall of Fame."
"In the premium end of the market, EVGA's £430 GeForce GTX 1070 FTW offers excellence in almost all areas. Build quality is solid throughout, the cooler performs admirably, there's a healthy core overclock right out of the box, and if aesthetics are a concern for your next PC, this is one of the best-looking interpretations we've seen."
"This version has RGB LEDs in the cooler shroud which can be controlled by EVGA's Precision XOC software, which I must say is a great feature as it helps this card match any setup theme...as you can see this 1070 absolutely destroys my 970 in every test. "
"As you can see from the results in the graphic above, this card cut through the benchmarks like a lightsaber through a blastdoor. We even got playable framerates all the way up to 4K. Considering this card costs a mere $10 more than the stock-clocked Founder’s Edition, this beast is a heck of a deal. - See more at: https://www.computerpoweruser.com/article/23556/review-evga-geforce-gtx-1070-ftw-gaming-acx-30#sthash.hcOG8zxf.dpuf"

Top Honors / Editor's Choice
"the GTX 1060 SC is head and shoulders above the other 1060’s I’ve tested. To add to that, it actually has a lower MSRP."
"For around USD $260 (price on EVGA website), you get a powerful graphics card that is able to run all videogames at fullHD resolutions with max settings while keeping the power consumption to a reasonable value. The GTX 1060 is between the GTX 970 and the GTX 980 in the performance side. The card is quiet at idle while some noise is produced under load which should not be a problem in a PC case."
"If you are buying a fast video card right now and looking for good performance for a better than entry-level VR or for maxed out 1920×1080 or even higher resolution gaming, the EVGA GTX 1060 SC is an excellent choice"
"The bottom line for the EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 SC is that it is a really great offering for the price. At $259.99 you get a graphics card that outpaces the GTX 980 from the previous generation and supports all the newest features."
"But if just want a single graphics card that can absolutely blow the doors off of triple A titles at 1080p or 1440p on high or max settings, it does it quiet, efficient, and pretty much silent."
"For $249 after rebate the GeForce GTX 1060 SC is pretty amazing!"
"...if you want the right now performance of the 1060 I think this is a very good choice, it's small, and quiet enough for HTPC use or small form factor builds, and overclocking was right in the same range as larger more overbuilt cards."
"The EVGA GTX 1060 6GB SC card we tested embodies every advance we've been led to expect from the move to next-generation process technologies, and I'm happy to send it home with an Editor's Choice award."
EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 FTW+ GAMING ACX 3.0 - Back to top
"EVGA has taken a very good reference card from NVIDIA and has made it even better. Replacing the effective, yet noisey reference cooler and replacing it with the ACX 3.0 cooling solution, yielded good temperatures while under load and did so while being quiet."
EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 FTW GAMING ACX 3.0 - Back to top
"The EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 FTW+ proves to be a strong card for those playing many of the latest games like Gears of War 4 or Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. It also shows that it plays well with older titles that demand a lot from a graphics card, such as Rise of the Tomb Raider and Crysis 3. It’s definitely a smart option for anyone looking to play maximum settings at 1080p, and even then most of these tested games reach a frame rate in the 70s and 80s with those settings."

"Small. quiet, fast, and priced correctly, the company has struck a very good balance between the need for speed and usability in a myriad of systems, and we like it because it shows you don't need to be big to be good in this hotly-contested space"
